Following on from the surprising success of the Audio Pro AddOn T3, the almost unknown and completely understated wireless speaker which scooped up some of the most coveted awards in the hi-fi realm in 2015. Building on that success, Audio Pro have released a larger and more powerful alternative to what had to be the cutest looking wireless speaker of 2015.

The Audio Pro AddOn T5 a wireless bluetooth speaker. Stylish and compact, it is modelled on the unrivalled successes of the T3, endeared by many for its cute, stylish and compact nature and surprisingly robust and powerful sound… but it wasn’t quite bog enough to suit everyone’s needs and tastes The T5 is much of the same, but is slightly larger (whilst remaining compact) a little less cute (the colours of black, grey, white and pale pink are of stark contrast to the vibrancy of the T3 finishes) and a great deal more powerful.
How powerful? Well, it’s powered by a Class D digital amplifier. Combine that with the dual 8-Watt 3/4″ textile dome tweeters and the 25-Watt 4″ woofer *a serious upscale from the drivers and woofer of the T3) and you have a pretty punchy active speaker that, despite remaining nice and compact, fills the room with ease. Even the larger rooms… and even outdoors.
Now, this is a wireless Bluetooth speaker, which means it does rely on your device as a source. Continuous use can make for a drain on your phone’s battery. AudioPro thought of this and included a USB port so you can charge your device while you play. This means it doubles as a roaming battery pack, as well as a hugely powerful wireless speaker, capable of balanced, full and rich sound. If you’re still not fond of Bluetooth (this one is version 4.0) then there is a wiring option with the 3.5mm jack.
It’s simple, it’s stylish and its easy to pick up and transport around (the leather handle on the top is a testament to this), and much like the T3 it carries a sound that we’re sure will endear the world of hi-fi to it in much of the same way… except they’ll likely be a little less surprised this time, seeing what the T3 has accomplished in its short life. The AddOn T5 is an excellent choice for a big, comfortable sound on-the-go.
