When a well renowned hi-fi manufacturer replaces a best selling and hugely popular range, it’s big news in hi-fi circles.
This is the case with the new Audiolab 8300 range, which is set to replace the 8200 range later in 2015.
Full details and specifications are sparse at the moment, but here’s what we’ve gathered so far:
What is it?
The Audiolab 8300 range will replace the existing 8200 range. Expect lots of luscious aluminium, great quality and that superb combination of form and function.

Audiolab have always produced great looking hi-fi components, and the 8300 range looks set to continue in the minimalistic footprints of the 8200
What’s in the range?
The current 8200 range includes the complete set of hi-fi separates, and is all upgradeable. The Audiolab 8200A has been one of the best selling Integrated Amplifiers in recent history, and the 8300 range is sure to get off to a flying start
Why should I care?
The Audiolab 8000 Series launched back in 1983 and has been a forerunner in high quality hi fi for over 30 years. The introduction of the 8300 Series is a big deal for fans of Audiolab and audiophiles alike.
What’s the details?
At this early stage we can’t be sure, but various forums and websites worldwide are reporting that once again the range has been designed by Jan Ertner. The 8300CD will feature 8-channel DAC of ESS (9018) capable of playing 384KHz / 32bits and DSD up DSD256, whilst the monoblock 8300MB will punch out 250Wrms for audiophiles looking for power and performance.
