It’s one of the greatest debates in the world of retail: should I buy online, or should I buy in store? You’d think that argument would have been settled by now, and maybe you’re looking for the definitive answer in this blog.

Well… you’re not getting one. Not ‘THE’ answer, anyway. But you will get answers in the plural sense, and as many pros to each as we can muster. After all, it’s a serious question. And if you’re thinking about investing a lot of money in some hi-fi gear, every detail is crucial. Yes, even down to how you browse!

So, in no particular order, let’s kick things off with…

Now that should be a sight you’re familiar with! Online comes with multiple benefits. You can peruse and purchase more quickly, whilst being exposed to a much (MUCH!) larger variety of options, as well as having access to a plethora of online-only offers, such as clearance and web-exclusives. And there’s always the whole ‘comfort of your own home’ element which may seem a bit obvious, but is still worth a mention

24hr Free UK Delivery

Providing the item is in stock (always call us to check as there can be a small delay in live stock updates) and you make the payment before 2pm, you will have whatever it is delivered to your door by the next day. All we ask is that you give us a quick call before hand to check the stock, which will take just a few minutes. We make sure we have big stocks of the most popular items at all times so we can deliver on this promise as often as possible.

Low prices

We aim to offer the best possible price for your products, and check against other retailers regularly. While we’re confident our deals are some of the best in the business, if you do spot cheaper, select “Found it Cheaper?” on the product’s page (just under the brand logo) and tell us where. We will match that price for you, or even better it if we can.

0% Finance

Okay, this does apply to our in-store customers too. But it’s much much easier to get it done online. It applies to all orders over £500 (to UK customers) and is a great way of getting exactly what you want in an affordable and practical way.

Collect loyalty points

A relatively new feature that has already proven very popular as so far! Every time you shop online, loyalty points will accumulate on your account and can be used against future orders. The more you accmilate, the greater the reward! These can only be collected on purchases through our website though, so make sure you come to us directly (as opposed to via Amazon and other third party sites) if you want to take advantage.

On Hand Experts

You can call in or email to ask our audio experts for advice, or to speak to our customer service team, at any time. Emails are all hours, and calls are in business hours. However if you leave a message, we will get back to you as quickly as we can. If you prefer to speak to someone online, we can do that too with our LIVE CHAT feature, which is running during opening hours. Just visit our website and a chat box will be ready for you.

Because sometimes we all have to look up from the screens and experience the real world in… well… the real world! Yes, coming in store does involve you leaving your house, travelling to us and interacting with real humans (well, as human as we can make ourselves!) but sometimes that’s all part of the adventure!

Here are some more practical reasons for actually coming to see us and our beloved showroom…

Our staff a genuine bona fide audiophiles and they’re also super friendly. They will be on hand to assist the second you walk through the door – but will also happily leave you alone so you can browse and play in peace. Whether you need some advice or some help setting up, they will be ready. It’s a no pressure environment, so take as much time as you need. It’s not uncommon for customers to spend entire days with us testing things out!

Demos!

We are immensely proud of our showroom, and it’s by far one of the very best things that we can offer! We have Dedicated lounge for hi-fi demos, a “headphones bar” for headphone listening and even a separate soundbar/AV demo area. It’s comfy, it’s cosy and it is filled to the brim with the best stuff we offer. If you let us know you’re coming and what you want to play with, we can arrange that for you too. Completely obligation free! Oh, and there’s complimentary gourmet coffee, tea, still or sparkling water with every demonstration. We also like our green tea (in many flavours!), so don’t be scared of asking for that.

One of the best things about our demos is that you can even bring your own music (CDs, vinyl, high res files on a USB, your laptop, etc.) and your own equipment for comparison. Just let us know what you want to do, and we’ll make it happen.

If you want to come and sample our many and varied delights, all we ask is that you give us a quick shout first. That way we can make sure you have the whole place to yourself (if needs be) and have everything you need to make the most of your visit. We can also offer late opening (beyond normal hours) by appointment, all you have to do is ask.

Generous Part Exchanges

If you want to tear a sizable chunk off your new gear’s price, email a list of your equipment before you visit saying that’s your intention and we’ll have part exchange pricing ready. Oh, and bring the gear with you when you come to visit (you’d be surprised how often people don’t!)

The Experience

Quite frankly, despite all the extra cool stuff we can offer you for coming in, what it really boils down to is the sound. There’s only so much we can relay to you about how something looks, feels and sounds through the power of text, images and even videos, alone. To really know what it is you’re buying, it’s best to experience it for yourself. And that’s probably the ultimate showroom pro… you get to hear the gear, in all of its glory. And we know – first hand – just how varied sound can be!
