Not so long ago, a plucky little radio was nominated for an award. That little radio, despite not being particularly well known (at that point!) went on to become the underdog that took the title, sweeping the awards despite playing against some serious heavyweights. Ever since then (despite picking up on its finer points shortly after it became an award winner!) we have been finding more and more to love about the little Audio Pro Addon T3, far more than just the sum of its parts (and finishes!)
Here’s what we’ve come up with…
1. The Sound
It sounds amazing for something that’s not much bigger than a shoe (it’s only 215 x 115 x 135mm – and yes, it’s adorable!) with the option to play through both Bluetooth (so the only true limit is your device!) or 3.5mm input (AUX) in the back. It’s not at all fussy, and will treat whatever you play through it with the same love and care you can expect from such a friendly little face.
2. The Battery
Don’t be fooled – these little things can last an insanely long time! It can last up to 30 hours without even a moment plugged into the mains (admittedly at half volume, but still up to 12 hours at full volume which is very good going!) and you can also charge your smart phone from it via USB. In fact, you’re encouraged too! In short it has amazing battery life for music outdoors – a useful consideration with summer coming up! Yes, I know it seems far away right now… but that will change! And the summer of 2016 will be a hot one (we’ve already had a word with the weather gods!)
3. The Finishes
As you have probably already noticed there are some amazing colours to choose from! Technically there are five but we only sell black, white, orange and grey as we didn’t have much interest from you guys in the green, but we can see why some would like it. Perhaps one for the more outdoors-y crowd?
4. The Build
Despite it being the size of a shoe (and the price of a good pair of decent ones!) the build quality is fantastic. The pictures (even the super fancy lifestyle ones) do not do it justice. Its reassuringly weighty and the matt paint finish both looks and feels really nice, but its the subtle yet loving details that make this a really special little speaker. Its clear Audio Pro spent a lot of time and energy on its design and the more time with spend with it, the less we are surprised that it was a 2015 award winner.
5. The Usage
When it comes to something that’s designed to bring some decent sound to your summer smashes, you want something that’s easy to use. And this little speaker is exactly that. Don’t get us wrong, we love good quality hi-fi systems that need a lot of setup and care to sound their best (it’s part of the fun!) but for portable simplicity and ease of use, this little Audio Pro is a pleasure to use.
… oh yeah, and it really does sound smashing.
