We’re big headphones listeners and our blogs will span a range of affordable, mid-market and high end headphones. Our focus is mostly on hi-fi headphones, although we’ll also be writing about a range of portable headphones and earphones for on the move. The only rule is, they must sound fantastic and meet a hi-fi sound quality standard.

The headphones market includes established names like Sennheiser, Audio Technica and Grado and some recent entrants like Focal, Oppo and HiFi Man. In addition to an excellent choice of larger headphones currently on the market, the rise of listening to music on the move has resulted in "higher end" headphones for portable listening.

This has come hand in hand with a range of portable headphone amplifiers and DACs. Brands like FiiO make fantastic portable headphone listening solutions and some models have been released as brothers or cousins to their desktop counterparts (for example the M-DAC Mini as a portable, more affordable alternative to the full size M-DAC).

Whatever your listening preference, there is a good range of headphones currently available, ranging in type (open or closed), size (on ear or over ear), design (traditional dynamic drivers, electrostatic or planar) and colour (even some of the high end models now come in a range of funky colour choices!) Either way, These blogs all relate to headphones, and seek to make your buying decisions easier, while also showing you some of our favourite products and why we love them for making our music sound even better.
