The wireless Bluetooth speaker is something of a must have gadget across the broad scope of “the music fan”, from the hard core hi-fi separatists to the laid back casual listener: it’s something that pretty much everyone needs in their life. Well providing they like music.

As is often the case with such “must have” devices, pretty much every non-specialist (or pure speaker-specialist) brand, of varying budget levels, has thrown their hat in the ring. While plenty of choice and tonnes of variety is no bad thing, it can make narrowing down to one option that’s perfect for you a mammoth task.

In situations like this, it’s helpful to seek the counsel of those who are exposed to many of these variants on a daily basis. Not all Bluetooth wireless speakers are created equal, and some are better suited to the task than others. And on that note, I give you…

The Mass Fidelty Core. A Bluetooth wireless speaker that ticks every single box in terms of what a wireless speaker offers, all the while inventing a few of its own. For instance, it doesn’t require a CPU-hogging app to work. All you need is a device which supports Bluetooth, and it will handle the rest. And the rest, really is quite magnificent.

To start, this isn’t just any old Bluetooth, this is Bluetooth AptX. An advanced version of the original Bluetooth algorithm that, so far, boasts the finest sound quality possible from a Bluetooth device. This, combined with Advanced Audio Coding (AAC), means the best possible sound will be dug out of your digital devices for endless entertainment.

And speaking of entertainment…

I don’t know about you, but when I think of wirless speakers I instantly think of one thing: a party. Or, at the very least, entertaining guests. The Mass Fidelity Core lends itself beautifully to this, with its complete elimination (i.e. the thing audiophiles refer to as the place in which the music sounds the best in conjunction with the placement of the speakers:

“To eliminate the sweet spot, the Core uses an audio rendering technique called Wave Field Synthesis to produce a virtual acoustic scene. This acoustic image can be “viewed” from any position in the room and does not depend on the listener’s position.” ~ Mass Fidelity

This means you can move around the room. Talk. Dance. Refresh your drink. Whatever you chose to do, the sonic holography will sound the same. Exactly the same. No matter where you are.

The Core will play anything and everything your device has access to, and play it beautifully. It is not limited by formats, and it is not limited by ability. It features a range of inputs which means you can plug it in if you want to conserve its battery, or if you want to leave your device in its very capable hands and not via a wireless connection.

It sounds incredible by itself (it comes with Absolute Bass Technology – ABT – as standard) but for even better sound we’d recommend pairing it up with its matching subwoofer for even better handling of bass, and a far more prominent and immersive atmosphere. Plus, with the sub, there’s nothing stopping it you from extending its use to movies too.
