The Akurate Exakt DSM is the next step up in a one-stop-system – taking digital streaming to a completely new level. It will connect with virtually any audio source in your home, allowing you to browse your digital music library, stream music and even video online via its multiple-source functionality. It features multiple digital and analogue connections including HDMI, XLR, and even an onboard phono stage for your turntable. And yes, you can even stream wirelessly from any compatible device via Airplay. It handles all of this with finesse, with huge attention to detail in the sound quality.
But what really makes this package stand out is what the incredible DSM communicates to. These beautifully engineered speakers are fed with a digital signal using the Exakt Link connection from the DSM. These are ‘source’ floorstanding speakers, which bring Exakt technology within. The on-board digital crossover in each speaker delivers an independently controlled signal to each of the drive units, via independent volume controls, DACs and power amplifiers. With the use of an Isobarik bass system which consists of two bass drive units encased in the base of the curved yet compact cabinet, the depth of bass is akin to that of much larger speakers. This allows for you to enjoy the sound depth that is rarely heard in such compact speakers, which will easily melt into your decor.
