When putting together your perfect home cinema set up, it’s important not the skimp on the detail. It’s too easy to get carried away with the sound systems, the receivers and all of the various options within… so have you stopped to consider which projector would be best for you? We may be hi-fi specialists, but we’re keen AV enthusiasts too, so we know our stuff… and we know what usually gets overlooked!

Don’t fret, we’ve done the research, and we have a recommendation that, if you have the budget, is worth your consideration several times over. Introducing:

EpsonLS10000Main

… the Epson EH-LS10000 Laser Home Cinema Projector. Before we dig into that, here’s a bit of background.

Tthere are three big name choices for excellent home cinema projectors, all of whom have different ‘big things’:

Sony who’s big thing is 4K resolution

JVC who’s big thing is D-ILA (Direct Drive Image Light Amplifier) panels

Epson who’s big thing is laser projection

The Epson EH-LS10000 is the brand’s flagship model, taking everything that can be good about projectors, and putting them together in one sleek box. It projects in using a laser rather than a standard bulb, using duel laser light and Epson’s latest 3LCD reflective panels, which combine with Epson’s 4K enhancement technology.

Bring this all together with a wider colour gamut (state of the art colour display performance – full RGB) and an intelligent lens shift and position memory with storage for up to ten settings, this is a feature laden projector that spares no expense in ensuring your viewing experience is indefinitely top notch

And it really is top notch. The picture you get from this projector is. in short, quite incredible. The beautifully designed (and built!) EH-LS10000 provides crystal clear imaging that really takes your breath away. We were lucky enough to see it at the last Bristol hifi show in the home cinema room, teamed up with KEF reference 5.1 speakers and Arcam amplification. It looked (and sounded!) absolutely stunning. We had to have one… and it is joining our beloved AV set up in the  showroom and on demo very soon.

While we’re on the subect of high-end projectors, there are three more high level models in Epson’s range: the EH-TW7200, the EH-TW9200 and the EH-TW9200W. The latter being a wireless version of the EH-TW9200 allowing installation without plugging it directly into an HDMI cable. Instead, you plug the HDMI into a wireless sender which transmits the video to the projector. A useful feature for the more difficult spaces.

It pretty much goes without saying, seeing as we’ve already seen this in action with the perfect setup, but we will have this on demo with KEF Reference 5 5.1 system with eitherAnthem or Arcam AV amplification, an Oppo Blu Ray player and Chord cabling to finish.

Frankly, we can’t wait. If you’d like to see this gorgeous set up in action yourself, get in touch and we will put you on the list.
