Do you like your music loud and proud? Do you like it in stunning high fidelity? And do you like it… outdoors? Well now you can have all of those things.
Okay, you have technically been able to have all of those things for some time. But hey, it’s hi-fi, there’s always room for improvement. And the latest portable player to hit our shelves has really got us excited. Yes, there’s a new player in town. Enter: the FiiO X3 II / X3K – FiiO’s second generation of high-fiedlity music player. It’s everything that was loved about the amazing X3, but with a few improvements that really make it stand out.
Okay, first to what’s the same – just in case you’re unfamiliar with the ins and outs of the lovely little X3.
The X3 can support five main music formats and original master copy at 192K/24BIT. It is compatible with APE, FLAC. ALAC, WMA and WAV files, and it handles them all with incredible finesse. So FiiO kept those basic components the same, and redesigned around them. The X3 II is heralded as the most complete unit on the market yet, and this means it is also compatible with I-Tunes/Apple files. So now, you can actually listen to your entire collection, whether it’s hi-fi or no.
Second, and possibly best, of all is the new level of practicality. The X3 II has a built in lithium polymer battery with 3000mA capacity which guarantees 11 hours of play time. That’s a long time. FiiO have also paid attention to their customers’ needs with smart USB charging technology, which basically means you never have to hunt for the right charger again. Nope. You can just plug and charge to any PC USB port.
But of course, none of the above is of any use without the sound. Luckily, we can say with some conviction that it doesn’t let down in that department either. If anything, it surpasses the already impressive capabilities of the X3 by a pretty fair margin.
And it only costs £159. Yep.
So. Curious? We certainly would be. Just give us a shout and we can arrange a demo, done however you like it.
