iFi Audio Removes Hum

 

The DC Blocker removes obtrusive low-frequency mechanical hum that is present in many large format amplifiers; it does so without any sacrifices to audio quality. The Ground Defender intelligently detects a ground loop created by multiple ground/earth in an audio system and will cut the ground for that component to remove speaker hum.

 

DC Blocker (IEC Connection)

 

The DC blocker blocks Direct Current that causes mechanical noise, this is how iFi Audio removes hum that is present in lots of old power amplifiers. The DC Blocker stops this mechanical power noise from getting into the final audio output, making the final audio very clean. The DC blocker also features EMI shielding is retaining within, Zero DC Blocker technology and it achieves all of this whilst still maintaining maximum safety when operating your equipment. To maintain safety the device uses an Auto reinstatement of ground connection to pass current if a fault is detected. It has a wide rating of voltages so use around the world is possible, the working range is 90 – 240 volts.

GND Defender

The IFI Audio GND Defender intelligently detects a ground loop created by multiple ground/earth in an audio system. iFi Audio removes hum by cutting the ground for that component. Like the DC Blocker, the GND Defender features EMI shielding, maximum equipment safety and superb audio quality. In addition, the GND Defender also implements the latest technology making it much smarter than your standard Ground Lift devices.

A high-performance glass passivated semiconductor is in the centre of the device along with an X7R Capacitor. The exterior build is also of superb quality using Fireproof polymers and a flame resistant IEC socket/connector/chassis. Like the DC Blocker, the GND Defender has a superb operating voltage of 90 – 240 volts allowing for worldwide use.
