Founded in 2007, Kanto Audio have striven to create quality speakers that offer both style and affordability. The research and development into bookshelf and desktop speakers led to the manufacture of the Kanto YU series.
Kanto YU Series
Kanto YU series are compact desktop and standmount speaker designs with crystal clear audio quality. The silk tweeter delivers an exceptionally high frequency range adding a smooth “air” to the sound output. These speakers are perfect for small to medium sized rooms and due to the dome shaped tweeter, they have an amazing dispersion allowing for good coverage no matter where you’re listening from in the room.
Kanto YU2
Built for desktop use, Kanto YU2 features a built-in DAC allowing for direct connection to your computer via USB so audio can be transmitted digitally to the unit. This eliminates any interference your computers onboard sound card may produce lowering the audio quality. In addition to the digital USB input, YU2 offers standard 3.5mm AUX connectivity. It comes in a choice of sleek and elegant Matte Black, Matte White and Bamboo finishes.
Kanto YU4
Next in the range is the Kanto YU4 – a stand-mount speaker offering effortless power to fill your space with a rich full bodied sound. Like the YU2, the YU4 has silk tweeters for improved audio quality with a size upgrade from 3/4″ to 1″. Coupled with the 4″ mid/bass driver, this speaker is perfect for larger spaces.
YU4 also offers increased connectivity with AUX , RCA , 2 Optical (TOSLINK) and Bluetooth 4.0 integration allowing it to be used for a wide range of applications around the home such as home theatre, near field listening, streaming and vinyl playback. The 5v USB socket charges various devices and can even power home devices cutting down the amount of cables on your workspace.
Kanto YU series remote also makes your YU4 experience convenient with full control over the unit including volume, speaker tuning, source selection and Bluetooth streaming controls.
Kanto YU6
Nicely bringing us on to the Kanto YU6 – The flagship model and a powerful speaker that delivers lots of punch and clarity. Powered by a Class D 200 Watt (peak) amplifier that powers 1″ silk dome tweeters and a 5.25″ main kevlar driver. The YU6 has the same connectivity as the YU4 with the added power and larger dimensions for a better soundstage.
Kanto Sub8
For seamless bass integration across the whole Kanto YU series look no further than the Sub 8. This subwoofer connects to YU2, YU4 and YU6 via a dedicated output. Giving an added element of power and precision to the sound, Sub8 delivers an extremely impressive performance.
The impressive 8 inch paper-cone driver is powered by an impressive 250 watt amplifier giving you low frequency energy with weight! The SUB 8 also includes phase alignment features ensuring no frequency are lost, power saving ‘Auto Off ‘ and LR line level input making it an impressive package all-round.
