Mark Levinson was founded in 1972 in the USA. Original MLAS products were designed by Mark Levinson with a team of associates. Levinson was a professional musician who set out to design stereo components that recreated the sound of his music exactly as he heard it in the studio.
Fifty years later, that same passion continues to drive Mark Levinson to raise the bar for high-end consumer audio. Mark Levinson focus on developing extremely high-end Hi-Fi products from HiFi amps, turntables and CD players and are designed to give you the very best sound for all your music sources so you can hear every note and feel every beat.
Mark Levinson 5000 Series
The 5000 series range covers all bases with a wide range of products to suit all. The range includes integrated amplifiers, Pre and Power amplifiers, Network streamers and classically inspired turntables. The preamplifiers feature Dynamic Digital audio that benefits from a custom-built digital audio converter. The Precision Link II (DAC) is a premium component and it is key to any high-end audio system — and reveals intricate details in your music that you’ve never heard before. Pure Path Circuit Design also allows for an uncompromising musical purity and an engaging listening experience.
There are 3 integrated amplifiers in the 5000 range – the 5802, 5805 and the 585.5. The 5802 contains a high-performance preamplifier and class-A/B amplifier in one beautiful iconic Unit. The Mark Levinson No. 5802 is an integrated amplifier that combines a high-grade preamp, a class-A/B power amp and a custom-built Precision Link II DAC. Mark Levinson’s No. 585.5 features a built-in premium Precision Link DAC that is designed to reproduce audio signals with accuracy, detail and with extremely minimal noise.
The 5000 range also features three preamplifiers and three power amplifiers. The flagship model is the 5206 Using a Dual mono high-end preamp designed with “Pure Phono” phono stage and “Precision Link” DAC to preserve both digital and analogue signals. In addition, the 5000 range includes three Power amplifiers – all three provide a robust power supply that delivers just the right amount of power at just the right moment.
Mark Levinson No 5101 is a Network Streamer and SACD Player 3 in 1 unit that is designed to give you a tantalising musical experience with the ability to play all disc formats, support for high res streaming and even plays from storage drives.
Finally for the 5000 series is the 5105 Turntable. Designed and handcrafted in the USA lets you listen to your vinyl collection like never before with a wide sonic range and explosive dynamics. It is fitted with an ultra-light 10” high gloss carbon fibre tonearm that provides excellent cartridge stability.
Mark Levinson 500 Series
The 500 series is another flagship series of outstanding craftsmanship and engineering. The range features both amplifiers (Pre and Power) and Digital Audio players. The amplifiers benefit from Precision Link DAC, Dynamic Digital Audio, Pure Phono Stages and High-Quality Circuit Design throughout. The digital Audio players help in connecting all your devices in one place and deliver superb audio quality. The 500 series Audio player features include; Roon Ready, Flexible Connection Types, Premium CD Player, High-Performance Headphone Out and Streaming Support.
The 500 series has two preamplifiers. The No. 526 sits above the No.523 as it comes with a Precision Link DAC, which allows you to connect digital music sources and reproduce them with expert detail and quality, bringing all your music to life. It also has two power amplifiers – The no. 534 differs from the No. 536 as it is a stereo amplifier, meaning you can run to channels to a pair of loudspeakers, unlike the No. 536, which is a monoblock amp, meaning you can only run one channel, and you’ll need two units to run a stereo set-up.
The Mark Levinson No 519 Digital Audio Player is the industry’s benchmark model and is designed to provide a pure and lossless playback for your digital audio sources. The no. 519 comes with a CD player, Bluetooth AptX, among other connection types and has a built-in premium DAC, Clari-Fi restoration technology and support for streaming services, including Roon Ready.
