Another day, another blog about the wondrous new multi-room system: MusicCast! Seeing as we’ve already compiled several blogs on this subject (you can read them here, here, here, here and… here!) you’re probably wondering why there needs to be quite so many.

Well, the answer is simple: MusicCast is vast! The number of amazing models in the versatile and dynamic range is evergrowing, and the benefits keep on multiplying over and over again with the release of each one.

There are so many things that we love about MusicCast (you can read all about those in the blogs above!), but one of the main things is how each item can work together, but they work beautifully alone too. It’s a truly versatile system – no matter which models you own, or how many, you will know the MusicCast benefits to their absolute fullest.

Each model can stand alone – or with ANY other model – to great effect. It’s a completely unique system designed exclusively with the needs and the wants of the market fully in mind.

Which (finally!) brings us neatly onto the next product in the MusicCast web…

That right there is the gorgeous looking (and sounding, and use-ing!) Yamaha RX-A550. An incredibly versatile 5.1 channel AV receiver which kicks off Yamaha’s flagship AVENTAGE series as the ‘budget’ model. Yes, it’s an excellent (yet very affordable) piece of AV equipment, but what makes it (and the rest of the AVENTAGE range) special is its addition of MusicCast, which makes it a hugely effective wireless streamer capable of adding a 5.1 channel surround sound option to your multiroom system.

Despite its very modest price tag of £549, this is agadget that will quickly become the staple of your system. It has built-in wifi, as well as wireless capabilities, which means it will connect to every other MusicCast model on the same network (no matter where it is in the house) and play anything you want, directly from your device and completely wirelessly. But despite that rather alluring (and rather neat) MusicCast rick that is shared across the range, it will also work as a very competent AV receiver with a full bodied sound and ease of functionality.

Is it just us, or is the MusicCast range sounding better and better all the time?

If you’re interested in trying it out for yourself, then give us a shout! This is something we love to show off, so come down for a demo!
