Sennheiser Momentum In-Ear Wireless

Stalwarts Sennheiser, are poised perfectly to complement the shift to wireless, with their wireless additions to their popular ‘Momentum’ range of headphones.

Sennheiser’s Momentum range is aimed squarely at style and sound conscious users of portable entertainment. Coupling premium materials to Sennheiser’s vast experience of making professional and consumer headphones, the Momentum range is built ruggedly to endure the rigours of everyday use, whilst providing exceptional quality audio reproduction.

For those preferring the ‘in ear’ style of headphone, the Sennheiser Momentum In-Ear Wireless represents a superb choice. Based around a unique, futurist neckband style – the Momentum In Ear Wireless earphones, immediately shout ‘class’. The neckband itself is covered in premium, super soft, nappa leather – with contrasting red stitching.

The earphones themselves are custom machined from stainless steel and come bundled with four interchangeable sets of ear adapters, to ensure both a comfortable fit and a secure seal; the latter – crucial for optimum bass response and noise isolation. The earphones are connected to the neckband via matching black and red cabling.

Altogether, the aesthetic presentation and build quality, bring to mind another German power brand – Porsche. A wholly apt comparison.

Additionally, the earphones feature an in-built microphone – making the Momentum In Ear Wireless a complete ‘hands free’ solution for smart phone users. Ideal for taking a call whilst walking down the street, cycling, or working out at the gym. Wireless connectivity is provided via Bluetooth 4.1.

The Momentum In Ear Wireless also natively supports both the AAC (Apple) codec, plus the advanced Qualcomm aptX wireless codec. The latter ensuring ‘CD quality’ audio over wireless connection, for supported devices. They are controlled, using just four, small buttons positioned on the neckband and these control various functions such as volume, track skip, play/pause and call answering.

Full control is provided via discrete neckband controls

The earphones are powered via an internal battery pack. This is charged via a micro USB socket on the end of the neckband. A 1.5 hour charge is all that’s required to fully recharge the unit.

When not in use – the socket is covered by an integrated cover – essential for a unit which is subjected to day to day rigours. Another nice touch, is that the Momentum In Ear Wireless earphones can work as wired headphones, via the USB port. The headphones will also charge at the same time – perfect if you’ve managed to exhaust the 10 hour battery life of the on-board battery pack, or wish to listen via a non-Bluetooth equipped source, such as a PC, for example.

Overall, the Momentum In Ear Wireless earphones represent a seriously classy and stylish way to listen to high quality music on the move. Coupled to a very reasonable RRP of £169.99, your quest for stylish, personal, wireless audio may end here!
