aerosmith-nine-lives-album-artLove ’em or hate ’em, I can guarantee you’ve heard of them! The American rockers are unique in every sense: their style, their sound and their execution. But strip back the excess of scarves, lips, glitter and sheer flamboyance, and you’re left with music. Good music. Music that has endured the test of time, and still appeals to generations across the board.

If you need proof of Aerosmith’s commitment to cool – and their extreme longevity at that – how’s this for a fact: Aerosmith have released fifteen studio albums, the most recent of which was in 2012. Nine Lives is number twelve in that list, released in 1997 after a five year gap from number eleven: Get a Grip. It remained high of both mainstream and rock charts all over the world, and contains a number of Aerosmith’s most memorable tracks.

Why do you need this LP?

If you buy it from us, we have the European release, a double, which features fifteen tracks – including I Don’t Want To Miss A Thing, which was on the soundtrack of the 1998 film Armageddon. The power ballad proved to be Aerosmith’s most popular song, and earned them several Number 1 chart positions in several countries, and a Number 4 spot for several weeks. Chart positioning aside, it reopened the world of rock back up to the mainstream and introduced a whole new generation to the band. That aside, this is also Aerosmith’s first release under the Columbia label, a gamble that paid off in the long run, and that opened the group up to new producers.
