1000 Series
At the beginning of their range is the 1000 series subwoofers which combine class-leading subwoofer performance and great value for money. This entry level range is made up of the SB1000 model and PB1000. The SB1000 features a high output front firing 12 inch driver and power amp that delivers a peak 700+ watts. This super compact model delivers a powerful low frequency output that surpasses its small dimensions. The P1000 is the ported version of the SB1000, featuring a 10 inch driver and the ability to reach a frequency extension as low as 19hZ, making it unmatched at this price point.
2000 Pro Series
Replacing the popular 2000 series, is the 2000 Pro line of subwoofers. Joining this range is the cylinder shaped PC2000 Pro subwoofer which has a tiny footprint. The SB-2000 has a frequency response of 1-240hZ ±3 dB whilst the PB2000 Pro and PC2000 Pro rate 16hz – 17hz. All SVS subwoofers in this range reach peak class-D amplification of 1500 watts and are optimised with advanced DSP functions for accurate room-tuning. Unlike the entry level series, the 2000 Pro sub-woofers and all bass speakers above this range feature smartphone app control to conveniently fine tune your system’s performance without needing to physically adjust your unit.
3000 Series
As the range goes up, so does the size of the driver. The penultimate 3000 series subwoofers employs a 13-inch high-excursion driver that generates a massive output and is powered by a ledge STA-800D2 amplifier with fully discrete MOSFET output that delivers 2500+w of peak power. Harnessing such power, the 15” 3 SB3000 and PB3000 reference sub-woofers deliver a stupendous bass performance that hit extreme new lows. Exclusive to these SVS subwoofers is an Intelligent Control Interface (ICI) on the rear panel that provides control of all subwoofer functions for your listening preferences.
4000 Series
The 4000 series consists of the SB4000, PC4000 and the PB4000 Plus subwoofer; designed to expand your listening room with tight, controlled, floor-shaking bass. Bringing you reference quality bass at phenomenal value for money, the 4000 subwoofers employ a 13.5-inch driver, and feature 1200 watts RMS, 4000+ watts peak power amplifier. The PB400 is an all thrills subwoofer able to reach a startling low frequency output and a ground-breaking deep bass extension down to 13Hz. The 4000 subwoofers dig deeper than ever before, delivering ridiculous bass, control and accuracy for the ultimate benchmark performance. On the front of the 4000 series is a lit up LED display for convenient bass management.
16-Ultra Series
The SB16 Ultra and PB16 Ultra subwoofer represent the ultimate standard when it comes to subwoofer performance. Sitting at the top of SVS subwoofers, these sealed and ported models feature game changing innovations to accompany the smartphone app control feature. A 16 inch driver with 8 inch edge wound voice coil is employed alongside a 1,500 watts RMS, 5,000+ watts peak amplifier with fully discrete MOSFET output stage. The massive 16 inch driver is the biggest that SVS have ever made for a subwoofer. It has been rigorously tried and tested in order to achieve its massive output, extremely low frequency response, transient response exponential bass extension. For feeling the bass, this is about as good as you can get.
Which subwoofer is for me?
Whilst the SB models are generally more popular and the PB models are generally better for larger spaces, we want to make sure you get the right subwoofer for your listening room and requirements. A ported subwoofer is larger, more efficient and requires smaller amplifiers to power them, they also offer a more extended frequency response and bigger power output so they can go louder. A sealed-box subwoofer on the other hand is more compact, making it great for smaller rooms as it provides a more smooth and accurate bass response. We recommend customers contact us to discuss their room/system if in doubt and we can advise on this.
