Why? Well, to keep it brief, the rosewood finish on the R-Series is being discontinued by KEF. While it looks beautiful its not as popular as the walnut, gloss black and gloss white finishes. Business is business, even in the hi-fi world, so KEF want to focus their manufacturing efforts on those. Still, the Rosewoods are just as beautiful to listen to as they are to look as, and the loss of this finish is your gain!
