Wharfedale Diamond 12 series is comprised of 12, 12.1 and 12.2 which are all stand mount design speakers. In addition to the 12.3 and 12.4 which are floor standing speakers as well as the 12.C which is a centre channel speaker.

Wharfedale Diamond 12.0

The Wharfedale Diamond 12.0 is a competitively priced stand-mounted speaker set as an entry-level product sitting below the 12.1. The 12.0 features a high-performance 100mm Klarity driver with a powerful bass that exceeds its small footprint, while the 1″ woven polyester dome tweeter delivers open and smooth high frequencies.

The 12.1 is a mid-level stand mount speaker in the range sitting below the Diamond 12.2. Built for high performance regardless of room size and application. With a high-performance 5” Klarity driver for excellent timing and finetuned bass, the 25mm woven polyester dome tweeter to take care of the high frequencies.

Finally in the stand mounted section is the 12.2. It is the largest stand mount speaker in the range therefore designed for more output and sits just behind the larger floor-standing models. Ideal for larger rooms and more powerful stereo hi-fi systems, the 12.2 features a high-performance 6.5” Klarity driver for tight bass and 1” woven polyester dome tweeter for detailed high frequencies.

The 12.3 is the smaller floor-standing speaker in the range – baby brother to the 12.4. The 2.5-way configuration along with excellent crossover technology enables the Diamond 12.3 to use two 5″ Klarity drivers for powerful mid-range and bass frequencies. The 25mm dome tweeter complements this through delivering spacious high frequencies that come across smoothly.

Shadowing the 12.3 is the larger 12.4, also a floor-standing speaker. Again Configured in a 2.5-way system, the speaker uses dual 6.5″ Klarity drivers for dynamic but refined mid-range and bass, while the 1” dome tweeter sorts the high-end clarity you would expect from a top of the range model.

And last but not least, the Wharfedale Diamond 12 range brings the 12.C.Designed as a Centre channel speaker in the Diamond 12 series complementing the other speakers in the range with detailed and spacious cinema-quality vocals. The centre speaker uses twin 5″ Klarity drivers for precise and fine-tuned mid-range and bass while the 1″ tweeter extends the open highs smoothly for greater detail and depth making it perfect for both music and movies.

Derived from research undertaken for the high-end TSR102, the Wharfedale Diamond was born in 1981. They quickly became best sellers and the Diamond range became a permanent fixture on our product list, and within a year, the Diamond II was launched. The development of the Diamond has continued ever since. Each successive generation of Diamond speakers has introduced a new technology. In 2001 Wharfedale launched the Diamond 8 Series. The result of many years of research. 2003 brought the launch of the Diamond 9 series took Wharfedale’s performance in the hi-fi industry to even greater heights. Diamond 11 vs Diamond 12  series

The 11 series differs to the 12 series as the early models, being the 11.1 and 11.2, are primarily bookshelf speakers as oppose to the stand mounted ones of the 12 series. The Diamond 11.3,11.4 and 11.5 are all similar in style to the 12 being floor-standing units. However, the flagship 11.5 is a fully 3-way design as opposed to the 2.5 way set up of the 12.3/4. Again for the 11 series a 2 centre design speaker models are featured.
