We’re often asked, ‘what is the best looking turntable’ and the simple answer is – they’re all different!
Turntables come in all shapes and sizes, colours, finishes, styles… There are so many variations that we wanted to pull them all together on one page…
So here’s a round up of some of our favourites from around the web. Which do you prefer?

What, no vintage corner – Goldring-Lenco GL75, Goodmans 301, Thorens TD125AB with SME Series 2 and the everyman’s Garrard SP2 and Connoisseur BD2? Plus you’re missing a few unique modern-day spinners… Trans-Fi’s idler-drive Salvation with its unique 14″ turntable and Terminator air-bearing parallel tracker fitted with London Decca ought to be in your gallery. And I see no sign of the strangely double-plattered Transrotor (the lower platter spins in the opposite direction to the upper record-bearing one in an effort to counterbalance rotational and airborne anomalies. And don’t forget the pretty Wilson-Benesch anniversary with its tapering carbon-fibre tone-arm and slender single pillar stand. Then there’s B&O’s hall-effect direct driver with LED-guided transverse tracking system.
Chris, this blog is meant to be a work in progress, so we appreciate your comments and will add them on, or you can email your favourites over to sales@audioaffair.co.uk for inclusion! Thanks
Roger-dodger – just setting the ball rolling so to speak. For anyone interested, the Salvation/Terminator can be found (and ordered) on http://www.trans-fi.com, I think my other suggestions are well-known and supported by a variety of dealers.
I would suggest the Gale GT2101: http://s290.photobucket.com/user/Toptubes/media/HiEndPic/ANALOG/Turntables/GALE-GT2101.jpg.html Alternatively the Micro Seiki DDX/DQX 1000: http://www.hifi-studio.de/hifi-klassiker/micro-seiki/DQX-1000/blau.jpg
