Microsoft could be dominating the seasonal holidays this year with its release of Windows Phone 7, and the long anticipated Xbox 360 Kinect. Kinect brings games and entertainment to life in extraordinary new ways, with full body play. Arms, legs, feet, and hands, with Kinect there are no controllers, just you. It’s so natural, so intuitive that technology evaporates, letting the natural magic in all of us shine through.
When Project Natal debuted at E3 2009, a host of developers had already signed up to the motion controller cause with notable industry figures such as Peter Molyneux having had the opportunity to get familiar with the hardware.
The latest word is that the games will cost about £30, and so far along with Kinectic Sports (think Wii Sports for the Xbox 360) and Kinect adventures which will ship with Kinect, the likes of Star Wars, Joyride and an unnamed Harmonix dance title will get the Kinect treatment.
We personally can’t wait for Ubisoft’s all-dancing Michael Jackson game where you’ll be challenged with emulating his moves, singing his songs and basically being the King of Pop minus the plastic surgery and skin bleaching. Miss you every day Michael….
Xbox Kinect Officially Sold Out At GAME
UK retailer GAME has announced that it has sold out of the initial batch of Microsoft’s upcoming Kinect motion gaming peripheral for the Xbox 360. In an update posted on its website, the retailer announced that every unit of the first batch of Kinect devices have been reserved by consumers via pre-orders.
However, the retailer continues to take pre-orders, despite running out of stock, and has assured consumers that the product will be delivered based on a first come first serve basis. The retail price is around £130 for the Kinect on its own.
