I have a couple of questions for you.

1: Have you heard of Yamaha MusicCast?

2. Do you actually know what it’s about?

Well, we’ve already covered both of those things in detail in this blog. And if you’ve read it, you know that MusicCast covers so many different products and devices (and lots of different types of ones at that!) that it was impossible to go into detail about the specific bits and pieces that make up the giant, interconnecting (and not to mention versatile!) web that MusicCast provides.

Well, it’s time to narrow our focus and talk about some of the individual strands of that web.

Starting with…

wx-030_large_8

The WX-030!

This is a cute and compact wireless speaker that slots beautifully into the alternative multiroom system that MusicCast provides. Like any other wireless speaker, this will play your music (via Bluetooth!) from the remote device of your choice. But what sets this little speaker apart from every other wireless speaker on the market (there’s quite a lot of them. They’re rather popular!) is two things.

Firstly, this speaker will integrate perfectly with any other MusicCast unit, and will stream music from it no matter where it is in the house in conjunction with the corresponding unit. That’s multiroom baby!

Secondly, even if you don’t have any other MusicCast items (it’s quite new, we’re not expecting you to yet!), you still have an immensely big, deep and powerful sound, in a tiny package. We are seriously impressed with this speaker’s sound, even when it is removed from the much bigger ‘MusicCast’ picture.

We’ll let Yamaha take it from here…

“The amazing sound is thanks to the two-way speaker design coupled with Yamaha’s DSP magic. A large passive radiator is the secret ingredient that enables deep bass to be produced from such a compact unit, while the onboard Music Enhancer smoothing out the stretched-out highs and muddled mids associated with over-compressed MP3 files. High-quality formats such as WAV, FLAC and ALAC are also fully supported. From pop to rock—everything sounds as it should.”

But wait, there’s more! It’s versatility is a pretty bug plus. Its small and stylish stature makes for a easily placed speaker that can easily be attached to any wall of your choice. It features Airplay too, so even if you decide to make it your only MusicCast installment, it will still be worth having.

Very worth having.

Got any questions about the Yamaha MusicCast system (including the WX-030) then give us a shout! We have done our homework, and we’re pretty excited about the whole thing. Multiroom is the future, and MusicCast is the next installment.
