Product Description
Anthem MCA 225 is a 2-channel power amplifier by Anthem made to complement the AVM pre-amplifier range. Anthem’s 2nd generation MCA225 delivers lower THD, for a cleaner sound, and lower noise, for an extremely quiet background.
With a complete redesign internally they have also redesigned the external features in stylish unit that matches AVM range wonderfully.
The MCA Range
The MCA-225 Gen 2 is a 2-channel power amplifier that delivers 225 watts per-channel; it’s the smallest out of all the MCA range. The other models in the range are capable of having up to 3 and 5 channel configurations.
Designed in Canada, Anthem boast that the MCA Gen 2 range is like no other amplifier range in the world with custom low noise high-power Toroidal transformers; high-current bipolar output transistors; high-quality filter capacitors; advanced power supply regulators; patented auto-on/off circuitry and superior craftsmanship.
2nd Generation Improvements
Anthem’s 2nd Gen MCA225 has reduced cabling to help create a much smoother circuit path to maintain an unobstructed audio performance. Low-flux Toroidal transformers and improved input transistors are added to provide a greater sense of transparency, even with dynamically complex material.
Greener Power
The MCA-225 GEN 2 Amplifier only uses 1 Watt in standby mode, 500 watts at high output; it’s a much a ‘greener’ way forward. And as with all Anthem amplifiers, they can be switched on manually, via trigger, or by sensing an input signal.
Advanced Load Monitoring
Exclusive ALM (Advanced Load Monitoring) technology monitors internal temperature, current and voltage to ensure safe and uninterrupted long-term operations. This is in place just in case a fault should arise. In this unlikely situation, unaffected channels continue to play and all-channel operation resumes automatically once conditions are back to normal.
