Product Description
WiiM Pro audio streamer will add well featured streaming capability to your hi-fi, active speakers or music system. It features Airplay 2 and if you are using the Apple eco system you can modernise your legacy audio equipment, to stream music from iOS and Mac devices. You can also stream TV audio from Apple TV. The Wiim Pro audio streamer is an inexpensive way to upgrade to an Airplay 2 receiver. Android users are also catered to and WiiM Pro can connect to Google Chromecast. This unit will work in conjunction with voice controlled speakers such as the Amazon Echo or similar.
Chromecast audio and gapless playback
The WiiM Pro audio streamer can connect to Chromecast enabled apps and stream music or TV audio. It can also stream radio stations as well as local content from more than one device at a time. Gapless playback is supported, at a hi-res, 192khz, at 24 bits, so there are no jarring silences between tracks when they are meant to blend from one into the other.
The output can be either analogue, for connection to an amplifier, or digital, for connection to an external DAC. Moreover, there are coaxial or optical digital outputs. HD content is available on Amazon Music Ultra HD, as well as Qobuz. MQA decoding is also supported, for Master Quality Audio file playback.
Music service connectivity
You can connect to Tidal Connect & Amazon Music, additionally, you can stream using Spotify Connect Tidal Connect or Alexa. WiiM Pro is designed to offer excellent sound quality over lesser devices and for the performance on offer is excellent value. It also has a longer range than other Bluetooth devices. This unit also works with standard Spotify Free. Finally, you can play MQA files as well as Amazon HD and Ultra HD.
Voice control
Use voice control with the WiiM Pro streamer. This unit supports voice control using, Alexa, Google and Siri voice assistant devices. This can be done via your phone, HomePod or Google Home Smart Speaker, to select music or control the volume and playback.
What is multiroom audio?
Multiroom audio is a way to listen to music in different rooms without having to carry a portable device around with you. You can connect your WiiM to your hi-fi system, active speakers or speaker systems in different rooms and no matter what room you’re in, you can use voice commands to tell the WiiM streamer what to do or play. It's also compatible with a wide range of smart speakers.
Once your WiiM is connected via WiFi, it should show as a device, in most smartphone apps. This means that you can send whatever you like to any speaker in any room, without having to physically move. For example, You can turn a radio service on in the kitchen, without getting out of bed. Versatility is the key, you can send the same song to all the speakers, or a separate song to each speaker.
You also no longer need a dedicated radio. There are hundreds of online radio stations that can be streamed. Stream services such as Spotify with ease. Playback from your iTunes library is also possible. WiiM specialize in smart Home products.
