Product Description
SVS 3000 Micro Subwoofer is specifically designed to deliver the sound of a much larger subwoofer but from an unobtrusive cabinet. The Micro 3000 features two 8 inch drivers on opposing sides to get the best possible performance out of the lowest frequencies.
8 Inch Woofers
The 3000 micro features two fully active 8-inch woofers that are mounted on opposite sides of the cabinet and move in perfect unison to produce a stunning low frequency performance, sounding similar to that of significantly larger single-driver subwoofers. The SVS fires in opposing directions so the unwanted mechanical energy is effectively cancelled out by transferring it to the cabinet.
Innovative Motor Assembly
An oversized, vented motor structure is featured for efficient thermal and mechanical-energy management for an optimal performance. The high current driving power of the Sledge amplifier and the motors huge electromagnetic force combined allows the 3000 Micro to optimise the output potential of the dual drivers.
Sledge STA-800D2 Amp
An 800 watt RMS, 2,500+ watt peak power Sledge STA-800D2 power amplifier, which combines the high-current output of discrete MOSFETs with Class D efficiency and the processing power of an Analog Devices DSP, powers the fully active dual 8-inch drivers at reference levels in a micro-sized cabinet.
The 3000 Micro subwoofer’s amplifier produces a sustained high-current output to support the playback of the most difficult low frequencies without bottoming out or clipping.
Unrivalled Processing Power
SVS’ 3000 Micro Sub uses a 50 MHz Analog Devices DSP that delivers sophisticated control and custom response curves, it’s a big factor in making the 3000 Micro subwoofer sound far bigger than its size.
The highly developed in-room frequency response curves fully optimise the potential of a room’s boundaries to produce greater output and deeper bass extension without resulting in a muddy sound.
