Product Description
The Atacama Elite Eco 24 two-shelf Vinyl Storage module, can be used instead of the standard 70mm high base, with Atacama Elite Eco 24 Reference hi-fi stand. It can also be used as a stand-alone unit. Moreover up to three of the units can be stacked together up to a maximum height of 1524mm. There is also a removable stopper bar that can be removed to allow large audio components to be housed.
The Atacama Elite Eco 24 Reference hi-fi stand system
Give your high-end hi-Fi a luxury home with the Atacama Elite Eco 24 Reference hi-fi stand. This is a modular system that is made up of a 70mm base or the vinyl module mentioned here. Additionally, there are shelf units of three different heights available. These are either 170mm, 220mm, or 270mm in height. All of the shelf units feature Atacama's Three-Dimensional Advanced Vectored Resonance Deflection Channels (or 3D-A.V.R.D.C. for short!). Each shelf unit can support up to 80kg and they are made of bamboo. Each shelf also has spiked feet that are designed to isolate each component preventing mutual interference.
What is 3D-A.V.R.D.C.
An improved version of the vectored resonance technology is used by the award-winning Atacama Elite Eco 24 Reference hi-fi stand. The main components of the stands feature grooves that are designed to channel resonant energy to the floor, via the side supports. Hi-fi components can generate resonant energy from internal components such as transformers. Each shelf transfers this energy via the grooves, firstly to the legs and then to the floor. Isolation spikes are used to prevent vibration from getting to the floor itself. Additionally, the spikes stop any resonances from the room, getting into the audio equipment.
Floor spikes vibration isolation
Not only the base unit but each shelf is isolated by spikes. This aids airflow. Moreover, the base unit has a nickel-plated inverted frustum cone. This cone is placed between the bamboo and the spike for extra vibration protection. All of the shelf grooves are designed to break up standing waves. Finally, the open-back design also helps with ventilation. Only a tiny point of contact with the floor is provided by the spikes. This reduces any possible feedback.
Why use a hi-fi stand?
Hi-Fi stands are beautiful pieces of furniture as well as functional. The Atacama Elite Eco 24 Reference hi-fi stands will display your expensive audio equipment in an impressive way. Moreover, the stands provide excellent isolation. For example, high-powered amplifiers can emit a magnetic field from the transformer. They also generate heat. As a result, the shelf grooves are designed to dissipate any vibration, and the spikes prevent any noise from being transferred to the other components. Additionally placing components too close together can also transfer noise.
Another issue is vibration from the room getting into sensitive components, like turntables. Good quality stands like the Atacama Elite Eco 24 Reference hi-fi stands will prevent any feedback from muddying the sound. Lastly having heat-generating components in a sealed cabinet can reduce their lifespan. Components such as capacitors can dry up which in turn can damage the power supply. Stands will also keep your audio units in one place.
