Shibata Line Contact Styli
The model's line contact styli have a deeper contact area to the vinyl record groove and enjoy a better tracking ability than an elliptical stylus. As a result, the stylus is able to fully reproduce all vinyl record content with minimised groove and stylus wear.

Bought the VM-750SH a year ago and loved it from the off. Almost everything it touched apart from a few poor lazy pressings presented a sublime clean, smooth and well-rounded analogue sound.
I came to the conclusion that my current player wasn't doing any favours and so upgraded to a Pro-ject Classic Evo in due course.
Whilst setting up tracking angle and force I happened to bend the stylus and so to my horror it was a throw away..
I raided the cupboard and set up my old nagaoka but took it off instantly. A almost new Audio Technica VM95ML with only 20-30 hrs had to do until funds had recovered and the wife had settled down with my frustration.
These 'shibata' cartridges are sublime, a clean well-rounded analogue sound with good channel separation and a feeling of air between the music. A quality Japanese product that will be on my tonearm for some time.
