Product Description
Black Rhodium Symphony 18 is the new, more versatile upgrade to the long-serving Symphony interconnect. It is part of the “Intro” range which contributes to Black Rhodium’s initiative to simplify products and includes up to 4 different products all offering high quality sound for a limited budget.
Versatility
It can be used for stereo audio, subwoofer, 3.5mm portable connections and as an 110 Ohm digital AES/EBU audio interconnect with XLR connectors. This twin core cable is screened to lower the audible effects of RFI and features an attractive black braid that damps mechanical vibrations.
Search for Alternative
Whilst seeking to replace the popular Symphony cable, Black Rhodium tested the use of a similar less advanced cable with some proprietary ‘Distortion Busting’ technology applied as seen higher up the range. Listening tests showed this was more effective in delivering a smooth and lifelike audio performance than premium materials.
Low Transient Phase Distortion
Symphony 18 clearly reproduces voices and instruments through drastically lowering ‘Transient Phase Distortion’ using thicker insulation to shorten the magnetic field in each conductor wire.
Anti RFI / EMI Technology
It is covered in a braided screen to shield the inner cores from RFI through creating a lower surface area to reduce the amount of audible distortion and allow clearer sound from your equipment.
Gold/ Rhodium Plated Connectors
RCA cables are terminated with gold plated ‘Hourglass Silhouette’ RCA plugs that are easier to grip when inserting or removing behind equipment.
