Product Description
Black Rhodium Twirl 4.0 is a re-designed loudspeaker cable developed for improved loudspeaker connection with a lower impedance and enhanced stereo imagery.
Why the Twirl 4.0?
Black Rhodium’s Twirl 4.0 loudspeaker cable is an improved version of the previous Twirl cable model, with a higher quality sound performance and design. It is perfect for delivering high-end audio through to your speakers.
Twirl 4.0 Design
The Twirl 4.0 has a low impedance, significantly lower than the previous design. Combined with it’s larger area conductors, the Twirl 4.0 achieves much tighter stereo imagery and deeper reproduction of low-end frequencies.
Reduced Interference and Distortion
The Twirl 4.0 is a 2-core twisted cable, which means it’s twisted along its length. This prevents the cable from acting as a “loop aerial” for airborne RFI, which can affect the sound quality.
Silicone Rubber Insulation
Silicone rubber insulation is used for low dielectric loss ensuring extremely low distortion.
Termination
The Twirl 4.0 is terminated with universal gold-plated plugs. Gold-plated connections ensure a smooth and thorough connection with long last durability.
The Twirl 4.0 cable is available in 2.0m, 3.0m and 5.0m lengths.
Press Reviews
-
Twirl was pleasingly accurate, along with clear instrumental and vocal separation that added scale. Additionally, this well organised sound stage supported bass precision so my ear didn't miss a thing. (Hi-Fi World Magazine Feb 2013)
-
‘...takes the basic Twist design and effectively builds upon it to provide gradations of improvement, within a familiar ‘house style’. It enhances perceived detail, expands the soundstage and improves the complexity of the presentation.’ (Hi-Fi World Magazine Feb 2013)
-
‘A balanced presentation with delightful tonal accuracy, the Twirl is a worthy system upgrade… Value for money, open midrange, expanded soundstage.’ (Hi-Fi World Magazine Feb 2013)
-
Whereas others throw detail at you, Twirl is more subtle than that, proving altogether more beguiling to listen to – and a fine partner to systems with bright sources or speakers that need taming.’ (Hi-Fi Choice Magazine June 2013)
-
‘It keeps a vice-like grip on the bass, which seems able to start and stop as fast as an LED. This makes it enormous fun to listen to, yet never fatiguing. Factor in a nice, crisp, airy treble and it is sure to prove very popular indeed.’ (Hi-Fi Choice Magazine June 2013)
-
‘It presents a generally powerful sound that is large in scale. It proves quite distinctive tonally, with the bass being a major facet of what makes its sound so good – its power, roundness and timbre is remarked upon… Indeed, this panellist considers its bass warmth, midband detail and clean treble to be “the best combination of everything”; this loom is certainly a very good all-rounder. ’ (Hi-Fi Choice Magazine August 2014)
-
‘Clear, powerful and musical sound yet smooth too… Highly convincing performer at the price.’ (Hi-Fi Choice Magazine August 2014)
