So just received this cable (the 0.75m) from Audio Affair - I was somewhat sceptical regarding any benifits from audio quality USB but read/watched enough things on the internet to feel I had to at least give it a try. Swapping a few times with the decent quality generic 1m printer USB type cable I had before, using the same bit of the same track (Finders Keepers by Mabel if you're interested) and I do feel I perceive a clear difference - I won't say it's massive or night and day, but the sound seems fuller, with more body to it, and the stereo placement and sense of the reverberation and environment/space of the music is conveyed better. Mabel's voice seems more real and less thin. More open-sounding, and more "analogue" if that makes any sense. I do feel it's there anyhow - admit I'd have to do a blind test to be sure, and I'm not going to do that lol - but I was sceptical as I say, and now I feel happy with what I've spent and the perceived results - the Chord cable is going nowhere. 4 stars may be a bit stingy, but hard to quantify these things. The cable is quite thick, and not terribly flexible, so worth bearing that in mind, although the substantial feel is reassuring in a way. Test equipment used: HP laptop PC, Audiolab M-DAC, Focal Clear headphones. :)
