Product Description
Cyrus QXR DAC Upgrade is the most drastic improvement to Cyrus amplifiers in recent years updating products that are up to a decade old by bringing a host of highest-resolution digital inputs.
Compatibility
Cyrus QXR functions with many Cyrus products, not only enhancing the audio performance through the addition of a 32bit/768k DAC and all-new asynchronous USB bridge but also significantly boosting the performance of the headphone amplifier section of these integrated and pre-amplifiers.
QXR DAC Card
QXR is capable of handling PCM audio to 768k at a 32bit depth and ‘Native’ DSD 512, via the USB input. The high-spec ESS DAC incorporates asynchronous upsampling to produce a sublime audio signal no matter what the source. Even signal received from the lower resolution digital S/PDIF and Toslink interfaces are ‘reclocked’ to drastically lower noisy ‘jitter’ for a refined, clearer audio signal to the pre-amp stages of the component.
Headphone Amp
The upgraded headphone amplifier, featured within the upgrade, lowers the noise floor delivering a substantially augmented dynamic range. It is capable of outputting 138mW per channel into 16ohm loads so it can comfortably drive headphones with impedances of up to 64ohm.
