Dali Oberon 9 Speakers (Pair)

Dali Oberon 9 is a 3-way floorstanding loudspeaker pair, also Dali’s flagship model of the Oberon range. The floorstanding Oberon 9’s are significantly larger in size, compared to the Oberon 7, and features Dali’s patented SMC technology and larger woofer designs to enhance the impact of the loudspeaker.

The Oberon 9’s are ideal for a dynamic stereo system or home cinema set up, the 3-way floor-standing speaker offer some of Dali’s advanced speaker technologies and designs to create a powerful and dispersive performance.

Dali Oberon Series

The Dali Oberon speaker series is one of their entry-level ranges, but unlike most companies entry-level ranges, they feature some Dali’s most advanced technologies, such as their patented SMC technology, to provide audiophile grade sound at lower price points. The Oberon series has a speaker for every room, from the small and compact Oberon 1 and Oberon On-Wall, through to the large floorstanding Oberon 9.

Cabinet Construction

The Dali Oberon 9’s are made from CNC machined MDF board and finished with carefully selected high-grade vinyls. They also employ solid bracings throughout the inside of the cabinet for reinforcement to contribute to the rigidity and to help reduce resonance, as well as internal acoustic damping material to create a more precise bass and increased attack in the midrange. With bass ports placed on the back you can utilise the wall for an improved bass performance.

Wide Dispersion

The driver materials and geometry used in the Oberon 9 delivers a wide dispersion pattern to allow you to integrate your loudspeakers into any room and to achieve an even sound across the whole listening area.

Magnet Motor

A uniquely designed magnet motor, which consists of a large ferrite magnet that surrounds a pole piece made of a combination of iron and SMC, is used to ensure the maximum effect from the SMC on the voice coils environment for a greatly improved constant flux field and a reduced mechanical distortion.

Oversized Tweeter

Dali’s Oberon 9 uses a unique oversized tweeter design that generates a higher sound pressure and improved power handling. The 29mm soft dome tweeter has a membrane that is constructed from an ultra-light weight weave fabric, which is less than half the weight of regular membranes, to generates a higher sound pressure with less excursion, keeping the voice coil motion to a precise minimum.

Woofer Design

The woofers installed in the Oberon 9’s are designed to deliver all the subtle micro details to high level bursts. The 23cm wood fibre cone woofer is made of a blend of a fine grain paper pulp, reinforced with wood fibres, to create a stiff, light-weight and well-behaving structure. In combination with a low-loss surround and spider suspension, this cone reproduces the micro details in the signal unfiltered and with high accuracy.
