True Multi Channel
Dione features 17 autonomous high-end speaker drivers, all of which are powered (like Phantom) by proprietary Devialet technology. These come together to deliver deep infrabass and crystal-clear treble. Dione is an easy plug and play soundbar allowing you to enjoy cinematic, vivid sound with your screen.
Dolby Atmos
Dione is Dolby Atmos enabled allowing it to deliver an immersive audio experience that creates 5 speaker channels, along with excellent subwoofer performance and 2 height Atmos channels, hence its 5.1.2 configuration. Atmos delivers a 3D experience that when combined with Devialet's audio technologies pushes Dione into a new dimension of listening.
SPACE Technology
Devialet's SPACE technology features a patented algorithm that effectively upscales any mono or stereo source into a 5.1.2 signal, allowing you to enjoy the experience with older movies and content as well.
Variety of Sound Modes
1) Movie Mode - as above this mode converts any mono and stereo content into 5.1.2 multichannel audio when connected using HDMI and Optical inputs.
2) Voice Mode - this special custom setting optimises the audio for voice focused material like news, podcasts, etc.
3) Spatial Mode - this "layered-sound" setting puts you in the centre of the action and allows you to enjoy content from online sources with the best possible sound
4) Music Mode - this does what it says on the tin and optimises stereo content for a purist two-channel performance that disables specialisation settings
Enter ORB
Dione’s features ORB as its central channel. ORB is a patented design that allows Dione to adapt itself acoustically and mechanically to the position of the soundbar in the room - ensuring the best possible sound whether its wall-mounted or placed on a flat surface (see photos for an example of both placement options)
HDMI Compatibility
Dione is compatible with all of the following HDMI types:
- ARC: Audio Return Channel (ARC), transmits an audio signal via HDMI cable.
- eARC: An evolution of existing ARC protocol that allows for more transmission bandwidth.
- CEC: Gives the user the option to control volume and playback directly from the TV's remote control without interacting with Devialet Dione soundbar.
Dione reads the room
Using Devialet's room optimisation App, Dione features 4 calibration microphones that will establish the properties of your room and optimise Dione to sound as good as it possibly can in your space. Devialet App runs on the DOS2 software ecosystem, making set-up and customisation seamless.
Use it with Phantom
You also have the option to use Dione with Phantom as part of a multi channel system using Airplay2. This set-up is also possible for any speaker enabled with Airplay 2 if you use iOS. Dione is an incredible experience on its own but is made truly versatile as part of a high end multi channel system.

This is the single best soundbar that I have ever heard. I first heard a Senninheiser Ambeo which shocked me with its performance, but this is just on another level in itself. The lows are incredibly deep and punchy yet balanced and refined. The mids are excellent and the highs are there to match. The addition of the ORB as the centre channel really helps bring vocals to the forefront and ensure they don’t get lost in the action of whatever’s happening on screen. The Atmos implementation is great also for a soundbar, it’ll never compete with in-ceiling speakers but that’s way more faff than this. However, it helps to add that extra bit of height to the soundstage and you can tell the difference with it.
Pros:
• All in one package (no sub required, seriously!)
• Sounds incredible
• Beautiful Design
• Deep, Punchy Bass and exceptionally clear highs and mids
Cons:
• None (don’t believe me? Find a dealer where you can listen to one yourself)
