English Electric 16Switch Audio Grade Ethernet Switch is designed to accommodate the most demanding AV set-ups with it's 16x 100/1000 Base-T GB Ethernet ports whilst also improving music and video playback. 16Switch has low noise, accuracy and protection properties making it one of the best Ethernet Switches on the market.
16Switch or 8Switch
English Electric's 16port Ethernet Switch provides all the of benefits of the smaller 8Switch model but has twice the port capacity to allow for larger set-ups, the 16 ports can also be split into two independent 8-way switches.
High Noise Isolation and Low Noise
The English Electric 16switch has a high noise-isolation, low electrical noise and a more stable data transmission. It does this with the use of two highly accurate, customized, Temperature Compensation Crystal Oscillators that have an accuracy of 0.1ppm, which is a lot higher compared to the normal crystals and higher than a regular TCXO.
Isolated Power
The 16switch's has two independent isolated power supplies that power each of the eight-port switch modules separately. Like in HiFi Separates, the isolated power allows for a better network signal quality, with the removal of power-related noise.
Build Design
English Electric's 16Switch Ethernet Switch is housed in a steel rack unit that offers protection from both acoustic and electrical noise. It fits into a standard 19" rack unit and takes up 1U in space.
If you don't wish to store it in a rack you can always place the English Electric 16switch on any solid surface, but make sure you use the resonance-damping feet to help remove any unwanted mechanical vibrations.
Protected and Safe
English Electric's 16Switch has a no-load power consumption of <0.075watts, a high power efficiency and protection from short circuiting and overloading for each zone, so your all equipment is safe should something go wrong. The 16switch Ethernet switch is supplied with a 0.75cm Chord Company C-Stream digital streaming cable.
