Perfect for a home cinema the Focal Chora 816 model is the entry level floorstander in the affordable new Chora range presented by Focal. Joined by the 806 and 826, the elegant speakers are available in a range of colour finishes. Alongside this, exclusive Focal technology has been incorporated in the speaker pairs to give the perfect blend of bass, power and performance.
Focal Exclusive Technology
Slatefibre technology manufactured directly by Focal engineers has been woven into the Chora series to hit the three essentials necessary for precise sound - ridigity, lightness and damping. The slatefibre cone on the 816 uses impressive recycled non-woven carbon fibres sandwiched between layers of thermoplastic poylmer, providing the ideal composition for a well balanced and precise sound.
Dedicated Features
The Chora 816 features some carefully crafted elements to deliver powerful bass and smooth precision. Fitted with a dedicated bass woofer, the 816 model is equipped to deliver delightful sound reproduction and impressive bass. Alongside this the model features TNF tweeters made from magnesium and aluminium.
A surround that uses Poron - a type of memory foam derived directly from Utopia's famous Beryllium tweeters. As well as being efficient in reducing distortion in the highest of pitch sounds, the inverted cone allows for silky trebles to spread throughout the room for a soft and precise sound.
Impressive Design
The Chora 816 displays a time alignment stand that tilts the speaker upwards towards the listener. Alongside this the front port helps to reduce distortion and provides a more united sound. The contemporary look of the speakers are available in three colour options - black, light wood, and dark wood. The marbled slate effect of the the Slatefiber also adds to the overall aesthetic.
