The Focal Littoria Marine 200 ICW6 In Ceiling or Wall Speaker is designed for marine environments. The rugged design can withstand wet environments such as yachts. However, it can also be used in spas and steam rooms. The design features a 6” bass/midrange driver and an aluminum M-shaped tweeter. The sound and frequency response are impressive with a power handling of 130 watts and a frequency response of 65Hz to 28kHz. Five sizes of speakers are available in this range. Finally, there is a switchable crossover that can be set to either indoor or outdoor use.

Focal Littoria Marine 200 ICW6 In Ceiling or Wall Speakers have an Iris IP cone bass/midrange unit with the tweeter mounted over it. This creates a low profile, compact design with mellow and detailed treble. The cone has high water resistance and resistance to dust ingress. The speaker also has an improved seal and a fast and reliable mounting. Moreover, there is a switchable crossover for indoor and outdoor use. The speaker connection is also sealed against moisture.
About marine speakers
The Speakers used on boats should be of the marine type. Such as the Focal Littoria Marine 200 or 1000 range, In Ceiling, or Wall Speakers. These have weatherproof seals that protect both the speaker and the wiring connections from salt water and extreme temperature variations. The size of the speaker chosen should match the size of the boat and they range from 6” up to 10”, there is also a subwoofer. Marine wiring is also different from a house installation as there are regulations involving the earthing arrangements. Finally, while marine speakers are ruggedized, they will not work underwater.
