Hoody Speaker Hoods Ltd is a manufacturer of a range of fire and acoustic speaker hoods for custom installed speakers in retro fit or new build installations. Hoody is the market leaders in ceiling and in-wall speaker fire safety.

Founded in 2012 by Hi-Fi retailers, installers and fire safety experts with the view of providing the best and most effective fire and acoustic protection that was simple to install into retro fit or new build installations and suitable for suspended or plasterboard ceilings.

Hoody will bring all your installations into conformity with the latest UK/EU IEE and Building Regulations for Fire and Acoustic integrity of ceilings, since a hole made in the ceiling for a speaker would otherwise significantly reduce the integrity of its construction and ability to perform in a fire.

Due to the acoustic construction, Hoody will also prevent a large amount of backwards sound leakage from the speakers to the rooms above, making in-ceiling speaker installation below a child’s bedroom, for example achievable. The lightweight and flexible cover enables fitting from below or avove the ceiling and can be installed in seconds, maintenance free.

A good quality, heavy speaker stand can also offer vast improvements to bass performance as it limits unwanted resonance and decouples the speakers from the floor.
