Product Description
An Audio Affair recommended, complete hi-fi system package combining the Icon Audio Stereo 20PP integrated valve amplifier with Icon Audio MFV6 bookshelf speakers.
Why is this a good pairing?
Valve amplifiers; sweet, warm - more natural sounding. However you want to put it, there is special place in a lot of peoples' hearts for this type of amplification. However it is not without issue, valve amplifiers have limited output, especially when you are looking for a cost effective solution, often finding a matching speaker is difficult. Lower power valve amplifiers can struggle to drive speakers of a lower impedance (the resistance a loudspeaker puts up to the amplifier) leading to lack luster sound. That is where this pairing comes in to it's own as the MFV6 is made specially to cater for lower output valve amplifiers.
