We Are Rewind was born out of the renewed interest in cassette tapes, both as a retro interest item for music listeners that didn't grow up with them (with many bands now releasing their album or EP on a limited edition cassette) and as an item of nostalgia for physical music formats along with the recent decade long renewal in vinyl sales.

Its not a cassette deck for home hi-fi use and its made to be as universally appealable as possible, with slimline retro style headphones, but despite the very sharp price point, its been made to sound great too.

Cassette tapes are analog and while they may not sound as good as vinyl on a home turntable, there is something delightfully tactile about being able to enjoy an analog music format on the move in 2023. Its so simple, so unexpected, and it makes us warm and fuzzy with nostalgia.
