iFi Audio DC iPurifier 2 Active Noise Filter is designed to reduce any interference found in your sound system that is often caused by noisy power supplies. The DC iPurifier2 is fitted with improved features such as Active Noise Cancellation II.
No More Unwanted Noise
Your everyday Switch Mode Power Supplies are very noisy and were never intended for audio use. The DC iPurifier 2 tackles this issue to ensure that audio is much clearer without interference.
Active Noise Cancellation 2
The DC iPurifier2 uses iFi Audio’s Active Noise Cancelation 2 technology to remove low and mid-frequency noise, reducing the noise floor by >40dB (>100x). ANC II is based on the Thales Spectra military radar defense technology used in jet fighters, a similar process to active noise-cancelling headphones by generating a signal identical to that of the incoming electrical noise but in the opposite phase.
Broad Connectivity
The DC iPurifier 2 handles five volts right through to 24 and comes with different types of DC barrel connectors to suit all your needs. It works with 5.5 x 2.1mm but also includes adapters for 5.5 × 2.5mm and 3.5 × 1.35mm jack inputs.
Intricate Build
The use of complex components allows the iPurifier 2 to be efficient at reducing noise. Some of its key components include a copper-alloy EMI shielding to block frequency electromagnetic radiation, an ultra-wide bandwidth design, Vishay MELF resistors to provide optimal power, Panasonic SP-Cap polymer aluminium capacitors and custom op-amps.
