Product Description
The iFi Audio SupaQuasar power mains cable, is an upgrade on the Premium Quasar cable. It features Active Noise Cancelation 2 Technology. To reduce capacitance there is no shielding. Instead, the earth conductor is placed centrally, and is surrounded by the other conductors. Only pure copper is used, and it has extremely low resistance Notably, the SuperQuasar is designed for high-current loads, such as large amplifiers. Moreover, the cable configuration can provide a truly balanced design were phase differences cancel out any noise.
Ground Zero technology
The SupaQuasar mains cable has a central core that acts as the earth conductor. The Ground Zero design suppresses any magnetic fields. Moreover, the live and neutral wires are in pairs surrounding the core. They are also wound in a double helix pattern, that protects the ground wire from magnetic fields. The result is a cable with very low system earth noise.
Balanced
The SupaQuasar mains cable features a balanced design, where internal and external RFI pickup is minimised. The double helix configuration provides a low inductance, low capacitance and constant impedance current path. This is regardless of whether the cable is bent or angled. Finally, the cable is isolated using a polymer matrix. This is both moisture resistant as well as RoHS compliant. The conductors are kept in place by an air-filled tube that is known as an air dielectric.
