iFi Audio Zen Can Signature 6XX Headphone Amplifier is an all-analogue headphone amp that has improved features over the original Zen Can model. The Zen Can Sig 6XX comes with all of the amazing features of the original unit, but with additional improved circuitry and customised EQ settings resulting in achieving the best performance possible out of your headphones.
This version of Zen Can Signature is specifically designed to pair with the Sennheiser HD 6XX headphones, although you can adjust the settings to match to other headphones as well.
How Does the Signature 6XX Differ to the Signature?
iFi Audio's Zen Can Signature 6XX is in it very own class of headphone amplification, with enhanced audio quality and additional specification that improve the listeners experience. When compared with the original model, the 6XX has enhanced driving capabilities and features.
ActivEQ
iFi Audio's ActivEQ technology combines active and passive components are combined resulting in a specific EQ curve that is designed to use with the premium quality MassDrop x Sennheiser HD 6XX headphones.
How Can I Engage the ActivEQ Filter?
You can operate this feature by pressing the 'HD 6XX' button, this calibrates the signal to pair perfectly with the headphone's response characteristics. ActiveEQ is also compatible with the Sennheiser HD 660S headphones, which have very similar audio characteristics, as do many other headphone models.
Suit All Your Headphones
The four gain settings that the iFi Audio Zen Can Signature 6XX has to offer alter in steps of 6 dB's, 0dB, 6dB, 12dB and 18db, it enables the Zen Can 6XX to get the perfect gain levels to suit your specific headphones.
We recommend using the 0 dB unity gain for more sensitive in-ear monitors to get the best performance. Tougher headphone loads should use a higher gain setting. By selecting the right gain level you can experience an expansive soundstage which will achieve a more natural and immersive audio experience.

Connections
The Zen Can Sig 6XX features a balanced 4.4mm Pentaconn input and stereo RCA and 3.5mm inputs. For the outputs, a balanced output (4.4mm) is instrumented for connection to power amplifiers that include a balanced input, and for the headphones a 4.4mm Pentaconn balanced output has been implemented.
