iFi iDefender+ ground loop eliminator is ideal for devices suffering from noisy audio caused by unwanted ground loops. It works by defending your system from hum and buzz noise invading your listening sessions.
Ground loop elimination
The iDefender+ effectively eliminates ground loops that cause noise, distortion and interference in audio and computer devices. A major cause of these ground loops are the use of multiple plugs which create separate earth/ground points that result in unwanted noise.
Auto-detection of multiple earth points
Simply plug the iDefender+ in to your computer device's USB port and it will automatically detect if there is multiple earth's and will intelligently disconnect the computer earth for a much cleaner sound.
Use with USB Dac
The iDefender+ 3.0 can be used in conjunction with a USB DAC by adding an external 5 volts to break the ground/earth. This 5-volt iPower replaces the power from the PC with clean, ultra-low noise power.
