Product Description
JBL Bar 1300 soundbar has been designed with a difference – it features detachable rear speakers and 11 channels. Even with the removable speakers connected it will fit under your TV. Dolby Atmos and DTS:X are supported for 3D sound. Additionally, there are six up-firing drivers, that make standard audio sound like surround sound. Usability is good with a smartphone app and voice command via Alexa, Google Assistant or Siri. Output power is 880W in total.
Detachable speakers
The detachable speakers are wireless and have rechargeable batteries. Moreover, they can be paired with Bluetooth devices and used as stand alone speakers. Additionally, they can be used as a stereo pair. There is also a wireless subwoofer with a 10” driver.
Cinema sound with convenience
The Bar 1300 is designed as a surround sound system and features PureVoice technology to optimise vocal clarity and dialogue should be crystal clear. However, the soundbar can also connect to online music services, over Wi-Fi. A voice assistant-enabled device can be used with Alexa, Google Assistant or Siri. Alternatively, there is the JBL One mobile app, as well.
High output and 11 channels
The Bar 1300 has a total of 880W of output power. Immerse yourself in the action with 11 channels and Dolby Atmos. Music and games come to life. The 1300 is a 7.1.4 system. These usually have three front speakers, two side speakers, two rear speakers and four overhead. There is also a subwoofer. Most of the speakers are built into the soundbar. Subwoofers are usually included to boost the low frequency response of the system. Low frequencies are non directional and the subwoofer can be situated out of sight.
What is Dolby Atmos?
Dolby Atmos is a 3D sound system that allows the mixing engineer to place sounds anywhere in 3D space. For movies, it is more immersive and realistic. For music, instrument placement is precise and gaming draws you in deeper.
Dolby Atmos was first installed in cinemas in 2012. By 2016 some TV shows were also available with Dolby Atmos 3D sound. In the studio 128 audio channels can be encoded along with spatial and other information. For home systems 11 channels are used, including overhead and height channels. With soundbars, sounds are bounced off the walls and ceiling to simulate speakers in those locations, which can work quite effectively - all without the need for speakers and cables around the room.
About JBL
JBL are best known for their loudspeakers. Moreover, they have been connected with cinema sound since it’s beginnings in the 1920’s. JBL was founded by James B. Lancing. At the time sound cinema was just beginning, but loudspeakers and amplifiers were not up to the task. Lancing developed speakers that could fill large rooms and JBL was born. Ever since then JBL’s ethos has been audio excellence.
