Product Description
Klipsch R-8SW Subwoofer gives you the bass you need from a humble design. The design of the cabinet is compact to allow for flexible and discrete placement without sacrificing detailed low frequencies needed for a smaller room.
The woofer is 8" in size, down-firing and constructed from premium copper injection-moulded graphite (IMG). The speaker driver is powered by an all-digital amplifier which delivers abundant power with efficiency and accuracy.
Down-Firing Woofer
Klipsch has used an IMG woofer because they are especially lightweight, and very rigid which ensures a remarkable low-frequency response with minimal potential cone breakup and distortion. The R-8SW is down firing which improves the low-frequency response with minimal effort.
Compact Design
At only 13.25" high and 11.75" deep, the minimised stature of the R-8SW makes it the smallest of all Klipsch subwoofers. This cabinet has been designed to allow for discrete, flexible placement within your home without having to a detailed low-frequency output, and the home theatre experience.
Construction
The cabinet is constructed from MDF, finished in a stylish brushed black polymer veneer for a contemporary aesthetic and will seamlessly integrate into your home décor. The high-performance down-firing driver provides deep bass and placement flexibility.
Take Total Control
By including low-pass crossover and phase controls with the sub allows the user to perfectly match the subwoofer's low-frequency output with other Klipsch speakers. Plus, the controls make it easy for you to customize the ideal level of bass for your room. The inputs are Line/LFE inputs which ensures this subwoofer is compatible with old and new receivers.
All-Digital Amplifier
This subwoofer is active having a built-in amplifier that is completely digital and easily powers with high efficiency and reproduction quality. You have the ability to control the crossover and the phase, which allows you to blend the subwoofer’s low-frequency output with other Klipsch speakers as well as establish the ideal level of bass you desire.
Functions
