Mark Levinson ML-50 Monoblok Power Amplifier is a limited edition product made to celebrate Mark Levinsons 50th anniversary. Featuring a glass top and internal LED lights to showcase its internal circuitry, the ML-50 has been designed to impress.
An Even High Performance Level
Mark Levinson has built upon the audio circuits and power supply of the No 536 amplifier to create an even higher performance level. To create a lower noise floor within the ML-50, the high-voltage supply capacitance has been increased by 50%. Additionally, the capacitance of the main high-current supply has been increased by 20% to give it an improved dynamic power and reconfigured Schottky rectifiers have been added to create a lower impedance path from the transformer to the filter caps. The output stage bias has doubled to lower distortion levels, this has resulted in more than quadruple the amount of Classs A power: 20W into 8-ohms. The class AB power has been improved to 425W into 8-ohms.
Mechanically Isolated Feet
The ML-50 also comes with new mechanically isolated feet that are designed to dampen vibrations. The feet also act to raise the chassis above the surface the amps are placed to increase the convection cooling that worked together with the massive external heat sinks and twin channel top panel venting
Fully Balanced Design
The ML-50 has been engineered to be a fully balanced design that offers balanced XLR and single-ended RCA audio jack inputs as well as two sets of Mark Levinson Hurricane binding post speaker terminals.
