Mission LX-6 MKII Speakers (Pair)

Mission LX6 MKII is a floorstanding speaker with a 3-way driver design. It’s been redesigned to replace the original LX Mk1 series and has been fitted with new technology that’s based on the QX, and Mission’s flagship, ZX ranges.

The LX6 Mk2 is the largest floorstanding speaker in the range, standing at 1020mm, which makes it ideal for sizable rooms and as front home cinema speakers. The two bass drivers and mid driver combination in a 3-way configuration provides a deeper, more powerful bass and a mid-rang.

The LX MK 2 Range

Mission’s LX range has been revised to replace the older LX Mk1 models. It still remains as Mission’s entry-level range for home-cinema speakers but has been improved with better drivers, updated technology and still keeping Mission’s trademark IDG design. This is unique at this price-point, which makes this range is a great choice if you want a high quality speaker at an entry-level price.

LX6-MK2’s drivers

LX-6 MKII is fitted with two 6.5” bass drivers and a 5” midrange driver. They are constructed from an advanced dual-layer fibre formulation, which exhibits excellent self-damping and has a very high stiffness to mass ratio. The 3-way configuration separates the bass and mid-range letting each driver focus on their dedicated frequency.

This gives you deeper, more powerful bass and a mid-range focused on vocal and instrumental clarity. The LX6 Mk2 is also with a lightweight 25mm microfiber dome tweeter with a neodymium magnet for maximum magnetic force in a small space; it produces crisp, clear and detailed high frequencies.

Comb Tooth Serrations

They also use the same technique used in the ZX and QX ranges where by ‘comb-tooth’ separations are fitted around the drivers to help scatter interfering reflections, meaning you get a purer, more lifelike sound quality.

Mission’s IDG design

All the speakers in the LX MK2 range use Mission’s IDG (inverted driver geometry) design, a technique where the midrange driver is placed above the tweeter. By doing this the wavelengths from the woofers and tweeters coincide at the listener’s head height at a better timing, resulting in a better timed and smoother audio experience. The two bass drivers are still placed below the tweeter and mid-range driver.

The LX6 Mk2 is available in three colours, Walnut Pearl, Lux Black and Lux White, suitable for all home decors and styles. And if you wish for a more discreet look, there is an attachable grille to cover the speaker cones.
