Product Description
Mission’s LX-C1 MKII is a compact centre speaker that’s built for home cinema systems, specifically the LX MK2 cinema system. It has two 4” bass drivers paired with a 25mm microfibre dome tweeter to produce a full range sound with depth and dynamics as well as being discrete and easy to install.
LX MK 2 Range
The LX Mk2 range is the revised new range from Mission that replaces the older LX Mk1 range. It has been redesigned with the focus on using technology found in Mission’s high-end ZX and QZ ranges, such the advanced serration design and new driver build. This is a great choice if you want a quality entry-level speaker at a budget price.
LXC1 drivers
With two 4” woofer units the sound is widely dispersed, which allows you to place your front speakers further apart without the problem of having a ‘ sound hole’ in the centre. The two woofer’s are 4 inches and are made of composite fibre, they are quick to respond and provide great power, meaning you’ll hear every breath of dialogue.
A lightweight 25mm microfibre dome tweeter aimed to extend the crisp, detailed response to higher levels. These two driver designs are standard across the LX MK2 range.
Modelled from the ZX range.
The most prominent feature in the new LX Mk2range is the advanced new driver surrounds and crossover technology that is used in the QX and ZX ranges. This is used to help scatter interfering reflections from localised surfaces to the dome and cone, ultimately to provide a smoother frequency response.
LXC1’s Practicality
Mission’s LX-C1 MKII is the smallest of the two centre speakers Mission’s LX Mk2 range has to offer. The compact centre speaker has an infinite baffle design, meaning that it can easily be installed in a cabinet or against a wall without adversely affecting the sound quality. This is great for smaller home layouts or rooms with a lack of space.
LXC1’s Stylish Finishes
The LXC1-MK2 comes in three finishes; these are Walnut Pearl, Lux Black and Lux White. Mission chose these to combine Hi-Fi heritage with contemporary designs and they fit with most home decors.
