Product Description
The Mission LX Connect DAC is the same DAC featured in Mission’s LX Connect system and uses innovative wireless technologies to create a true wireless audio hub that can be enjoyed with your choice of speakers.
This control hub can transmit hi-res audio to the speakers via a 5.8Ghz radio link. As a result, there are no trailing cables to the speakers. Additionally, the renowned ESS Sabre32 ES9018K2M DAC chip is used. Finally, the specially designed amplifier modules provide 60W per channel.
Great connectivity
The LX connect Hub acts as the centre of your music management system. There are a range of both analogue and digital inputs. Digital inputs include optical and coaxial as well as USB. USB can be used to connect to an external drive. Additionally, you can connect TV sound using an HDMI ARC connector. Bluetooth can be used for streaming from your Smartphone or tablet.
Hi-end DAC
The built in DAC uses the renowned ESS Sabre32 ES9018K2M chip. There is also a hi-grade headphone amplifier that will outperform most others at this price point. ESS Pro SABRE DACs are the gold standard of audiophile DACs. They are used in many award-winning components and give a truly immersive and high-resolution audio experience. Moreover, they always give the best sound quality possible from the source.
High power class D amplifiers and drivers
The speakers are based on the Mission LX-2 MKII, with built in amplifiers. The amplifier modules are specially engineered and provide 60W per channel. They use the Mission derived Inverted Driver Geometry design as well as a precision tuned crossover. This results in improved transient response and enhanced detail. The bass drivers are missions own DiaDrive units that have superior control over the diaphragm. Finally, the tweeters provide a refined and detailed top-end.
What is DiaDrive?
Mission DiaDrive units have a seamless curvilinear diaphragm. That is they do not have the traditional cone and dust cap arrangement. The diaphragm is driven by a secondary sub-cone that is connected to the voice coil. As a result, the efficiency can be improved and diaphragm control is enhanced. Improvements in the design are ongoing and the diaphragm is now made of an aluminium matrix while the sub-cone is vented.
Roon tested
Roon is a great way to archive and control your music library. All of the information about the track and artist is automatically linked. This creates a digital magazine about your collection. Your personal files can be integrated with online material from TIDAL. In this way you can discover new material from your favourite artists. Roon can handle multiple users and multi-room setups for maximum versatility.
