The Ortofon Cadenza Black is the flagship phono cartridge in Ortofon's Cadenza range, and boy were we blown away by it's performance, a stunning model that redefines performance in replacing the Kontrapunkt C. It offers the best of an Ortofon moving coil design - a wide soundstage, excellent dynamics and detail, with a wider frequency range and smoother sound which is unmistakably high end, which is to say it's just music, pure and simple.

Bought Cadenza Black as an upgrade from Quintet Black, after 2 years I wanted more so move to the chain so to speak. Sounds so much deeper, richer vocals too. I’m no expert but I am enjoying how good it sounds, but saying that is I think it’s going to make me want to move even further up the chain in time. Hardest thing I have to do for now is chose what lp to play next. A big thank you to John T and all that helped with my turntable and upgrade MC.
