Product Description
The Ortofon MC Quintet Blue is a capable Moving Coil cartridge, offering dynamics, resolution and offering an open sound with detailed reproduction. The Quintet range offers a taste of high-end Moving Coil performance but at a more affordable price point than has previously been available. This cartridge has very high price-to-performance ratio all-rounder and offers more smooth reproduction than the Quintet Red, as well as more moderate dynamic strength than the Quintet Bronze.
The MC Quintet Blue features a nude elliptical stylus, which offers sonic advantages over spherical designs, as it is more similar to the shape of stylus used to cut the master discs, and therefore can track the record’s grooves more accurately and reveal more musicality and detail from your music collection.

I always wondered what the fuss was about moving coil cartridges. Now I know. WOW, What a little belter. I am hearing small nuances that that were always there but not heard with previous cartridges. The sound staging is amazing, bass is firm and assured, mids are perfect and the treble is a delight. Its a 10 from me
